Our two night land package in Siem Reap gives you the  opportunity to see Angkor Wat and other beautiful temples surrounding this pleasant town.

              3 DAYS / 2 NIGHTS

This is a private tour with english speaking guide and can be tailored to your arrival time in Siem Reap.

DAY 1  SIEM REAP - ARRIVAL

Be met on arrival at Siem Reap International Airport and transfer to your hotel. (rooms may not be ready until the afternoon)

In the morning visit the ancient capital of Angkor Thom.  See the South Gate, with its huge statues, Terrace of the Elephants, Terrace of the Leper King,  Royal Palace complex and Bayon Temple, unique for its 54 towers decorated with over 200 smiling faces.

Lunch break.

In the afternoon visit the most famous of all the temples on the plain of Angkor, Angkor Wat.  Enjoy sunset at Phnom Bakheng near Angkor Wat.

DAY 2  SIEM REAP  (B)

Morning visit to the busy local produce markets.  See Preah Khan Temple, one of the largest complexes at Angkor.

Lunch break.

Visit Ta Prohm, one of the most beautiful temples, which has been relatively untouched since it was discovered, and retains much of its mystery.  Its appeal lies in the fact that unlike other monuments of Angkor, it was abandoned and swallowed by the jungle, looking very much the way most of the Angkor temples appeared when European explorers first stumbled upon them.

DAY 3  SIEM REAP – DEPARTURE (B)

See Banteay Srei, a Hindu temple dedicated to Shiva, and considered to be the jewel in the crown of classical Khmer art. Visit the floating village of Chong Khneas, located 10 kilometres south of Siem Reap.  The community live in over 1000 houseboats and makeshift rafts and is never static for long, as it moves down the river and out onto the lake in the dry season. Boatride in a traditional wooden boat on Tonle Sap Lake, the great lake of Cambodia and one of the largest in Asia.

Lunch break.

Time permitting, visit Artisans Angkor, created to help young people find work in their home village, allowing them to learn crafts (such as stone and wood carving, lacquering and gilding, silk processing) and provide them with a vocation.

Transfer to Siem Reap International Airport for departure flight to next destination.

END OF TOUR. SEE "WHAT WE OFFER" AND PHOTO GALLERY AT THE TOP OF THIS PAGE FOR FURTHER INFORMATION.

ABOUT THIS PACKAGE

Our 3 day package will show you the best and most visited temples around Siem Reap. After a morning of sightseeing, you will have a lunch break of 2 – 2 ½ hours which will give you time for lunch at a restaurant of your choice (guide will give you some ideas) and time to spend shopping or relaxing by the hotel pool. Later in the afternoon (when the temperature is a little cooler) you will commence the afternoon programme. The local produce market in Siem Reap is a must see, here you will see all sorts of exotic fruits, vegetables, spices, rice varieties, meat, fish and different foods on offer. All of the fish comes from Tonle Sap Lake and you will take a boat ride on the lake to see the unique floating fishing village.

We recommend giving your local guide and driver a tip if you are pleased with their service as wages are not high.

This is a land package and does not include international flights. We can provide the best available airfare to suit your requirements.

See our "Travel Notes" section for further information on Siem Reap.

INCLUSIONS

Breakfast at the hotel is included. We have not included other meals in the package as there are many good dining options in Siem Reap.  Before you visit any temples your guide will take you to the ticket office to get your 3 day temple pass (your photo with relevant entry dates on a laminated card) which you must produce each day at certain check points. The cost of this pass is included in the tour price. Return transfers to the airport at Siem Reap are also included.

Day Inn Angkor is a traditional style hotel located in a peaceful area within walking distance of shops and restaurants. There are always inexpensive cyclos outside the hotel if you do not wish to walk into town (15 minute walk). All hotel rooms have views of the tropical pool area which is a great place to unwind at the end of the day. Spa treatments are available at the hotel and at Shinta Mani Spa across the road.
