INDIA - JEWEL OF RAJASTHAN TOUR ABOUT THIS TOUR We strive to make our tours unique and inspirational for all women. We interact with local women along the way to learn about their traditions and culture, visit a girls school to talk to students about their modern future, have lunch with a family in Delhi and walk through a small village in Bharatpur to see locals going about their daily lives. Learn how to prepare delicious foods with a cooking class in Udaipur and have fun shopping (leave plenty of room in your suitcase) in fantastic markets and shops. We see the most amazing sites along the way such as forts, palaces, temples, and take a sunset camel ride into the desert. Best of all, you will love the people. Everyone likes to do their own thing at times and in India this is not always easy for women travellers. We have allowed some free time in both Pushkar and Udaipur, which are tourist friendly places, for you to wander around the streets at your own pace. This is a land package and does not include international flights. We can provide the best available airfare for you to suit your requirements. Please note this tour requires a minimum number to proceed (see below). The earlier you book, the earlier we can confirm the tour is going ahead, and international flights can then be arranged. See our "Travel Notes" section for India travel experiences. SMALL GROUP SIZE We like to keep our groups small. Our maximum group size is 12 and we require a minimum of 6 for the tour to proceed. INCLUSIONS IN THE TOUR We provide many meals throughout the tour (except drinks) indicated in the itinerary by (B) = Breakfast, (L) = Lunch and (D) = Dinner. We eat at interesting restaurants along the way, serving great Indian food, some with traditional dancing or music entertainment. Our hotel breakfast buffets have a choice of both western and Indian foods. If you love Indian food, you will be in heaven! International airport transfers are provided for group transfer with the escort, if you are travelling on a different flight, a surcharge will apply. Tours and entrance fees as per the itinerary. ACCOMMODATION Our well appointed hotels are of 4 star category and have been carefully chosen. At the end of a long day, particularly in India where it can be hot, dry and dusty, it is always good to come back to a great hotel with Indian flair where you can relax, swim in the pool or enjoy a spa treatment. Our beautiful heritage palace hotels will take you back to the days of the maharajas and harems, and in some hotels, family members still live in separate quarters. As Pushkar is a very small town, there is limited accommodation. Our 3 star hotel is quite new, of good quality, with a very good pool area. TRAVELLING Our own private transport. Travelling between the cities can take a few hours but there are always interesting scenes to see, whether in the countryside, desert, or driving through a small town or village. Watching the people going about their daily activities is fascinating, particularly the women in their beautiful coloured saris carrying heavy loads upon their heads. Children on the side of the road will wave with a big smile on their face. One domestic flight is included in the tour price. Please note walking surfaces can be uneven and good walking shoes are recommended. A basic level of fitness is required. TIPPINApproximately $100 per person. See our terms and conditions for further details. GUIDES A tour escort from Australia will be there to assist the group to make it enjoyable for you. Local guides are used at each destination to share with us their knowledge on the places we visit. Back to the tour itinerary
