BEST OF INDIA PACKAGE

ABOUT THIS PACKAGE

You will travel to five states in India, Haryana, Uttar Pradesh and Rajasthan in the north, Kerala and Maharashtra on the west coast to the south. Beginning in Delhi, you will see the main sights of the city with afternoon shopping at Delhi Haat. Craftsmen from around the country are allowed here for short periods of time to sell their wares, and it’s a nice place to shop without being hassled.

Travel onto Varanasi to see the mighty river Ganges and the pilgrims who come here, and Khajuraho with its magnificent temples. A visit to India must include the beautiful Taj Mahal in the city of Agra and impressive Agra Fort. Visit a school and village enroute to Jaipur and interact with the locals. Jaipur, well known for its gems, is a good place to buy jewellery and you will see the huge Amer Fort just out of town and City Palace where the royal family still reside.

Jodhpur has the most impressive fort of all which stands high above the city, once here you will realize why the city is called the “blue city”. Imagine days gone by with Maharajas and harems. Shop in the local market, Jodhpur is also known for its spices and you will find many varieties here. Udaipur, often a favourate with travellers, has two huge lakes and magnificent palaces, the most impressive of all being Taj Lake Palace situated in the middle of Lake Pichola. This is another great spot to shop with antiques, paintings and silver jewellery to be found. Fly to the state of Kerala in the south, a complete contrast to the dry lands of Rajasthan with its vast waterways and tropical growth. Visit the seaside town of Kochi and enjoy the wildlife sanctuary at Periyar. A night on a houseboat is a must to see everyday life on the waterways. Ending the tour in Mumbai, take in all the sights, sounds and smells from this huge city.

We recommend giving your local guide and driver a tip if you are pleased with their service as wages are not high.

This is a land package and does not include international flights. We can provide the best available airfare for you to suit your requirements.
